Spring flourishes my whole garden – it’s beautiful – especially that due to summertime the evenings become longer and longer. My husband and I now can enjoy some quiet diner on the porch after baby went to bed. My favorite flowers in the garden are ranunculi and peonies – ranunculi also in yellow, like those sweet little pansies on my card.
I love the color comibation of blues and yellow. For the background I added ink from the inkpads with the sponge dauber in Pisatacchio Puddung, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo. Just touched the damp sponge dauber in the inkpad and started.
The logo is a combination of my two favorite fonts at the moment: Parisienne and Belle. I find myself combining those 2 all the time at the moment. I just added a litte offset to the fonts and cut it with my Cameo.
The Daffodil Delight pansies were enhanced in color by stamping the according image from the Summer Morning stamp set with Versamark and emboosing it with clear embossing powder. This is a very nice technique to let the paper color shine even more – it can be very fresh in case of the pansies, but it can also be very elegant if you clear emboss on white paper or vellum.
To add some sparkle I applied some rhinestones and also one of the Designer Vintage Faceted Buttons. For the stitching I used the Island Indigo Baker’s Twine.
I will give away the card for easter (in about 2 weeks), because I don’t like carfting special easter themed cards – but Spring cards – no problem at all 😀 – Maybe I should add some butterflies as well *g*
I hope you enjoy the challenge at CCC and send you smiles,
